Privacy Notice

Metropolis Harvest is an export sales and sourcing initiative managed by Burak Öz. This notice explains the website’s current handling of personal information. It is intended to be clear and practical and should be reviewed when the site’s tools, providers or legal requirements change.

Who is responsible for the data?

Metropolis Harvest / Burak Öz is responsible for the information submitted through the website. You can contact burak@metropolisharvest.com for privacy-related requests.

Information we may collect

When you send an inquiry, we may receive your name, company or producer name, email address, phone or WhatsApp number, location, product interests, quantity, packaging and document requirements, sample request, message, selected language and the source page. Hosting providers may also process ordinary technical information such as IP address, browser and request logs for security and delivery of the website.

Why the information is used

The information is used to respond to sourcing, producer cooperation, importer research or other business inquiries; clarify requirements; communicate follow-up questions; evaluate suitable producer or buyer-side next steps; maintain necessary business correspondence; protect the site from abuse; and meet applicable legal obligations. We do not use inquiry information for unrelated mass marketing without an appropriate basis.

Legal basis

Depending on the inquiry and applicable law, processing may rely on steps requested before a potential business relationship or contract, legitimate business interests that do not override your rights, compliance with legal obligations, and consent where consent is required.

Who may receive the information

Information may be processed by service providers used to operate the site and correspondence, including Netlify for hosting and serverless functions, the email provider used for business correspondence, and Supabase if inquiry storage is enabled. Relevant inquiry details may also be shared with a suitable producer or exporting company when necessary to evaluate your request. Unnecessary personal information should not be shared.

International infrastructure

Some technical service providers may use infrastructure located outside your country. Cross-border processing or transfers can therefore occur depending on provider configuration and must be handled in accordance with applicable transfer requirements.

How long information is kept

Inquiry information is kept only for as long as reasonably necessary to respond, manage relevant business correspondence, keep records where required, protect legal rights or resolve disputes, after which it should be deleted or anonymised when no longer needed.

Website tools, local storage and external resources

The website does not currently use advertising or behavioural analytics cookies. Your language preference may be stored locally in your browser. Interactive tools such as the inquiry builder and export readiness score run in the browser and are not automatically submitted merely by using the tool. Some pages load external photo resources from Pexels and web fonts from Google; those providers may receive ordinary technical request data such as your IP address and browser information.

Your choices and rights

Depending on the law that applies to you, you may have rights to ask whether your data is processed, request access or correction, request deletion where applicable, object to certain processing, request restriction or exercise other statutory rights. No sale of contact data

Metropolis Harvest does not sell personal information submitted through the contact forms. The separate Importer Research File is intended to use company-level public information for B2B market research, not private contact-form data.

Changes to this notice

This notice may be updated when the website, service providers or data-handling practices change. The current version will be published on this page.
